How we make money
If you click through MoGeCo and buy from a shop, that shop may pay us a small affiliate commission. The price you pay is unchanged — it's the same as if you'd typed the shop's URL yourself. We're being deliberate about which programmes we join, so commission isn't yet earning on every click; the comparison itself is what we lead with.
What you should know
- The price you pay is unchanged. The shop quotes the same price whether you arrived via MoGeCo or directly. Any commission we earn comes out of the shop's margin, not your wallet.
- Cheapest in-stock is always at the top. We don't take payment from shops to rank them higher. Sort order is by live price, not by who pays us best.
- We show shops we don't earn from. If a retailer has the best price but isn't on an affiliate programme we're part of, they still appear in the comparison — they just don't earn us anything when you click through. That's how we keep the rankings honest.
- We re-check prices when our importers run. Every row is timestamped — the "Updated X ago" line tells you how fresh that price is. Always confirm the price on the shop's page before you buy; feeds can lag and our scrapers can break.
How we earn (when we earn)
We connect to UK retailers either directly (where the retailer runs its own affiliate programme) or via the established affiliate networks they participate in. Where a retailer hasn't joined any programme — or hasn't approved us to join theirs — we still list their prices, we just don't earn anything when you click through. That's intentional: a comparison engine that hides shops it can't monetise isn't honest.
What we don't do
- We don't charge you anything to use MoGeCo.
- We don't take "preferred placement" payments to bury cheaper rivals.
- We don't insert sponsored products into normal search results.
- We don't sell your data. Email signups, when we add them, will be opt-in for MoGeCo only.
Spotted something off?
If a price looks wrong, a retailer's behaving badly, or you think a ranking is suspicious, tell us. The whole thing only works if you can trust the numbers.
